Aluminium Phyllosilicate

Info: Medical/ Ecological science Research & Art boards.

'Bentonite is an absorbent aluminium phyllosilicate, essentially impure clay consisting mostly of montmorillonite. Bentonite usually forms from weathering of volcanic ash, most often in the presence of water." The different types of Bentonites are commonly used for industrial purposes, where two main classes of bentonite exist: sodium and calcium bentonite.

Also used for medical purposes, bentonite is often used as base for many dermatologic formulas.'

'Phytoplankton, also known as microalgae, are photosynthesizing microscopic organisms that inhabit the upper sunlit part of almost all oceans and bodies of fresh water.'
