Info: Recollection Vol.II Concept Boards

Derived from the story of 'Recollection Vol.I', came the sequel known as 'The Four Heavenly Kings' supported by The Netherlands Film Fund and The Foundation Thuiskopie, has been a long term experimental project and has gradually become a full-length feature film in progress. I started creating these concept boards to have a first look. So far, coloring, styling, feeling and mood of the film are quite conceivable.

Associated with the film, 'C.Opera' (top first image) is a picture I had in my mind, that I wanted to capture on paper. It is a pre-conception of an element of the film: The Chinese opera, a popular form of drama in China, dates back to the Tang dynasty, where opera troupes mostly performed for the emperors personal pleasure. All material I create associated with the film, will support me in setting a standard for further development.
